informe del belga que oía Sabina

Hey ...,
A little update from above the Equator: I got a 1 for my Bachelet-Morales-paper. Cool isn’t it? Thanks again for the help! Funny that I wrote something in the lines of that Morales first will have create internal stability before he can actually do something extreme, and a week later or so he occupied the gas fields…
What do you think about that btw?
Is he serious or is he maybe just using it to negotiate new contracts with the gas companies?
The EU-Latin America summit is taking place at the moment here in Vienna. Iwanted to go and see/hear Bachelet, Morales, Chavez, etc. (after hearing/writing so much about them…) but it’s all less interesting than they make it seem in the press. Just look at the programme for example: http://www.eulac2006.com/index.php?tid=3
Officially it’s from the 11th till the 13th, but the only day that something is really happening is on the12th. Politicians…
A funny thing was the football game between the EU Commission and the EU President (Austria). I was looking forward to see our Belgian commissioner (Louis Michel; he’s broader than he’s tall) actually taking part in something that has to do with sports, but he wasn’t there. Again, much less interesting than it seemed beforehand I think; it was just a couple of commissioners/Austrian politicians, plus ex-football players. The EU had ‘adopted’ Erdogan (President of Turkey) and Alejandro Toledo btw.

In the meanwhile my stay in Vienna is slowly coming to an end, but I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Life is great here. Spring in Vienna is really super, the weather, apart from the occasional bad day, has been great during the last weeks and that really creates this special atmosphere in the city in my opinion. Very enjoyable.
And how are you doing? Did the students grow up already, does the handsomeone still believe his flirting will actually make him pass, and did you manage to pump at least a bit professional journalism in them already?
Greetings,
M.

Nice, i liked your belgian friend's report. Though I'm surprised he expects to find intersting stuff among politicians...
Mori, I guess here's how europeans think about us: when they expect Latinamerica to be surprising, they are dissapointed in front of our dullness. When they expect us to be civilized, they realize we really ARE a box of surprises in matters.

Aufwiedersehen!
